Stillness spreads
over the landscape
as morning
or evening
stands poised on the horizon
of another day.

This shadorma (a six line stanza of 3/5/3/3/7/5 syllables) is for In Tandem #8
and for Natasha's picture, here's a haiku (5/7/5 syllables).

Mood adds its colour
to all our actions.
Life is a palette.

And now I've added these to Poetry Pantry Linky List, too.

  1. The stillness and quiet also the Colour are great opposites, yet they work together.

  2. Both the visual art and the poetry delighted me.

  3. 1) There's a lot of expectations and subtleties when welcoming a new day, I would imagine!

    2) Yes, various different situations make life more interesting!

    Beautiful takes for both!

  4. I like them both. I think my mood painting would be rather less colourful than that, particularly first thing in the morning - say, around 4:00.

  5. I so admire your talent with words. They are so beautiful! xx

  6. Both beautiful... I love 'life is a palette.'

  7. It's all so vibrant.. must be because it's the first day of Spring that I find myself relating to the energy.

  8. Yes, yes, yes. Lovely shadorma and haiku. Thank you for the prompt and for your poems.

  9. Morning or evening--or a new season, for that matter. Lovely shadorma and the vibrant haiku. Life is a palette--wonderful vision! Thank you.

  10. I return from vacay to discover this!? I am truly honored you've shared and wrote to my little doodle. I love the varied responses, but I will be writing to yours alone...its' stunning and I hope to do it justice!
