A washboard, a tub and a girl (called Dolly?) washing doll's clothes?
What ever happened to Women's Lib and washing machines?
Thanks once more go to Stony River for prompting a typical Jinksy reply to this week's Microfiction Monday challenge of writing a little something in less than 150 characters. Feel free to count them if you must, but I assure you they're well within the guidelines!
Washing clothes whilst all dressed up in bonnet, stockings, and fancy dress?
ReplyDeleteAnd she looks like she's enjoying doing the laundry! Of course, she's a model and being paid to look attractive and as if she's having fun. Ivorine knows how to get housewives to buy their product!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yes. Great micro :O)
ReplyDeleteMy granny used to have a Dolly Tub!
ReplyDeleteGood one Jinksy!
Hey Jinksy, I like your ยต-fiction! :) Is your lady, Dolly, washing doll's clothes or Doll's clothes?
ReplyDelete..
Mom had a Maytag (doll's) machine. Until we got electricity it had a small gasoline engine to power it.
..
Jim, it's doll's clothes, because the picture struck me as being juvenile!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Dolly was just a bit ahead of her time wishing for that Maytag. Like it that Dolly is washing dolls' clothes. Nice play on words.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for women's lib and washing machines! Good MF!
ReplyDeleteJinksy,
ReplyDeleteI never thought of that but she probably is washing Dolly's clothes! LOL! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your nice comment.

She looks like a doll too. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteYes, one wonders!
ReplyDeleteGlad not to be Dolly.
