Water Music

Colour me blue in shades of rain or sky
when clouds scud in window-painted reflections
on clear, glass-green panes of light, and rills
of singing water rush a stream of music
in waterfall cascades about my ears;
liquid thoughts to flow and feed the muse
who waits in arid expectation of life
filled to the brim with their soft sounds…

A muted colour palette for Poetry Jam  who asked us to colour our lives.

  3. I don't think your muse waits in arid expectation, rather she is impatient to set it all down;-)

  12. Lovely. Flows like water--or music. Your muse is clearly never arid.

  13. I can almost hear the drops of the rain water hitting the glass panes. It comes with a coolness and a little breeze. It's musically alive!
