In a comment on my last post, Dr FTSE asked me to write a little something about those annoying people who plague our lives, either by trying to sell us computer or internet deals- or simply for the chance of hacking our screens.
"There's something wrong with your computer,
just follow my advice!"
Thinks:- (But if you do, I'l nobble you
just like a ton of ice
that's jettisoned from out a plane -
It won't be very nice!
I'll infect you with a virus before the day is through,
if you heed my wicked words, as some poor suckers do.)
I pretend to be an expert, an IT brainy geek -
the kind that uses telephones to feed you double-speak -
until, too late, your screen goes blank
and I'll know that I'm the one to thank, ha HA!

I think we've all been there!
ReplyDelete. . . and still people are taken in . . .
ReplyDeleteI just don't understand why hackers do what they do. They definitely must have too much time on their hands an too much hatred in their hearts.
ReplyDeleteThis is good, Jinksy! There are some nasty people out there unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteI hate to think such poisonous hearts exist but I guess they do, just setting out to kill other people's joy.
ReplyDeleteugh. avoid!
ReplyDeleteWell written bit of poesy and a handy warning. Personally, I think that people who hack ought to be treated like any other terrorist... can we say "Guantanamo"?
ReplyDeleteDid someone hack your screen and changed the 'of' into 'if'? ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou've lost me, m'dear - have I made a typo that I can't see? :)
DeleteAh! there it is! Took me three more reads before I spotted it! LOL. I'm a crap editor, as well as a crap typist. Thanks, Carolina. :)
DeleteLOL because I came back to see if I was wrong (I'm never wrong you know) and I couldn't find it. Huh? Seriously doubting myself I scrolled down and then read your second answer. Ah! LOL again ;-)
DeleteOops. I think I meant 'change'. Did I? ;-)
ReplyDeletethis was a fun read!
ReplyDeleteFun write to a very widespread internet related problem. Well done. Thanks
ReplyDeleteA particularly fun read with the comments and typos and all. You're a born entertainer, Jinksy. I love it.

Very true Pen. A timely warning. And sort-of in poetry... :-) (I'm being cheeky) - Dave
ReplyDeleteAck!! This would be terrible!!!!

Computers are a love-hate relationship, aren't they? And hackers, well i have no love for them.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I wish I could hack the hacker, you know? Would like to give them a bit of their own medicine, but oh well all I can do is NOT get hacked, huh? Enjoyed the read. Blessings!

Excellent!
ReplyDeleteJust popping in to say hi ya stranger! And a great read...as always :)
ReplyDeleteGreat poem! Gave me a bit of a chuckle, it seems in my family I'm the one everyone always calls when their computers crash, maybe I should...ah nevermind, they'd just ask me to fix it again anyway lol.
ReplyDeleteHahaha - good one!
ReplyDeleteThat was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope it wasn't based on real life experience. :)
