...where Pen is mightier than the sword...
Lovely Haiku. Summer heat does distort our view, doesn't it. Love what you did with the pic too :)
The summer heat has a way of pushing us away from our tasks and into a mid-day slumber. Great poem!
great take!JJRod'z
you captured the summer heat perfectly!
I like to take siesta in the summer heat ~
Love what you did with the painting!! And the verse is wonderful and lyrical!!HugsSUeAnn
Heat does swirl and the stalks burn- siesta ? We never had that; far too sensible! thanks!
I love what you did with this!
Beautiful! I just adore your twist on the photos!
Great work on the prompt, the text AND the image.=)
The lazy, hazy days of summer captured so well in words and picture. I’m off for my siesta now............Zzzzzz
Heavy summer days filled with heat and mirages. Love what you did with the prompt both visually and in words.
The wealth on knowledge within your Haze,I welcome it and enjoy to cast my eye to Gaze.
Ah! Molto bene, signora! :)
I find high summer and the depths of winter incredibly similar , thanks Jinksy
What's this almost haiku form (3-5-3) called? You used it to good effect.
Oh I think I need a nap now...
Hot poem, hot image, the stasis sizzles! Thanks for sharing, Jinksy. =D
Oh yes, this swirling radiating heat. I live in that painting almost ( in Missouri anyway). Left for the shore for a week ... meeting the kids and grand kids. AND ... here it pours. But even so it is nice to see rain, feel it and hear it.
Just great - you've converted the picture but done your own so well. k.
I like this a lot. The last line in particular.
I like your words and image manipulation. I too think you final line is particularly good...'stasis' is just the right word!
Beautiful view...just enough words to capture the gorgeous painting! Did you paint this?!Wonderful to read!
Dear Jinksy: An amazing art work...and I love the swirl pattern...
