When Alfred Hitchcock filmed 'The Birds'
he never guessed just how absurd
this flock of hungry gulls would be;
they left the fishes in the sea
and smacked their noisy, beaky lips
as fingers offered chip-shop chips!
Thanks to Tess and The Guardian for today's Mag.
Trying to get kids to eat fresh and local is always a challenge when junk food is available.
ReplyDeleteFunny association seagulls with kids...but sadly fish - not always available...
ReplyDeleteGood fun.
ReplyDeleteIt was very hard not to think of The Birds while writing this week!
ReplyDeleteI guess food on the beach is easier to catch than fish in the sea. I agree with your viewpoint though.
ReplyDelete"beaky lips" ---cool.
ReplyDeleteInteresting phrase, "fingers offered chip-shop chips!" Just how many chips could a chip-shop chip if a chip-shop could shop chips? --It's Monday morning so you can't expect much. :-)
ReplyDeleteEven gulls are into fast food:)

I had Hitchcock on the brain, too! Now what were those birds after?
ReplyDeleteWell, unlike Lyn (and you) Hitchcock didn't occur to me! But, you are right on target .. nicely done!
ReplyDeleteHitchcock did not come to mind either - he wouldn't as I loathe that film!
ReplyDeleteHe always was a Situationist !
ReplyDeleteClever one Jinksy...I didn't think of The Birds!
