from gold petals
spawns fairy-clock seeds
in clusters, waiting for a waft
of wind.
Perhaps
some flower whorls
are harvested instead
by a maker of wine-heady
liquid...
Its taste
will please the tongue,
but maybe not the head.
If taken to excess, beware
it's strength!

ReplyDeleteI must admit, in the days of my youth, it was the only drink which made me feel squiffy after two glasses! I never repeated this experience, but I always enjoyed just the one glass, in future. lol

Love your crop and manipulation of the prompt, and your writing. Ahhhhh, dandelion wine...never had it but loved the tales my mother would tell of making and enjoying it. Perhaps one day. Thanks for your comment, it's fun to be back here.
