"Tick tock" the clock mocks,
"another day you've wasted!
Face my displeasure."
And it whirls its hands faster.
"I will show you who's master!"
Tess and her Mag 189 called forth this flight of fancy, with an image by crilleb50 which I adapted to suit a nightmare scenario. :)
Time, the ultimate master! No one escapes!! Well done, Jinksy!
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with this, Jinksy!
ReplyDeleteNice one, Penny. Who knows where the time goes . . .
ReplyDeleteYou did it! Scary, no doubt about it..wonderful coloring!!
ReplyDeleteaie.....I know well about another day wasted! It literally flys doesn't it!
ReplyDeleteI don't consider any day wasted. I used to, and I railed against circumstance, but a day spent resting, then accomplishing something, is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteTime does fly, though, doesn't it, Jinksy?
K
You nailed it:)
ReplyDeleteWithouty doubt, the clock is the master.
ReplyDeleteHe waits for no man ( or woman!)
ReplyDeleteI like your tanka take on a nightmare scenario :) I remember those dreams where one is always late ! What you did with the picture works really well with it.
ReplyDeleteI love the altered image ... and the tanka is impressive (not an easy form.)
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly, and my poem bears a similar message...but (I fear) with considerably less vitality.
ReplyDelete=)
Master, indeed...sigh...
ReplyDeleteOOooh this fabulous and a little frightening because I am guilty of wasting time
ReplyDeleteOh, so THAT'S what has been happening!
ReplyDeleteThe clock and hands of time def rule..clever write..
ReplyDeleteHow true this is. And I annoy myself so much as as a procrastinator I waste so many days...
