Old Saying, New Take


A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush,
or so the old saying goes,
but why in this picture the bird's on a shelf
while the young lady sits in a tree by herself -
well - I reckon that nobody knows!

    Glad to see I am not the only one to tinker with both words and image. I asked the same question about the bird on a shelf and came up with my own theory. Those colors and swirls are very groovy and I can almost hear the soundtrack for them.

    Apologies here to Berowne who, on 1 September 2013 at 14:24, left me a comment which said "Quite a creative post, text and image. Thanks for sharing", but who also managed to add half a yard(!) of blank space at the end of it, before the following person's comment could be read!

    In the interest of typography/layout, I deleted his comment, and the space went away!
    Better luck another time, Berowne...
