The Question Is...

Today,
will the sun shine?
Will rain showers prevail,
or will capricious weather gods
send hail?

The sky
remains unsure,
with blue and grey patches
fighting for supremacy,
today.

April
enjoys playing
with these variations,
becoming a true turncoat,
taunting!

And it's a good time for me to play with the Cinquain form...

  1. The poem's as playful as your April.unfortunately for us, its just relentless tropical heat now - no clouds, no rain.

  2. A beautiful image, Jinksy! Our April weather is as bad as yours, it would seem... Just a bit colder since we're further north!

  3. I imagine this as being the poem of a despondent weather reporter, looking out at this year's April variations!

  4. We had nearly summer-like temperatures at the beginning of April and now it's cool enough for a jacket.

  5. Strangely, it's rather the same in the Southern Hemisphere in April, but with days growing progressively colder rather than warmer.

    1. No photo, this - it started as a creation using ArtRage on my Bamboo tablet, which I subsequently photo shopped... Guess that makes it a mixed media graphic? :)

  19. WOW! I love this! I always want to see how you re-create those Mag pictures...so what is Cinquain form?

  20. Counting the syllables in each of the five-line groups, Donna, gives you the clue... You'll see there's a 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 2 pattern in each stanza I've written. The name 'Cinquain' is no more nor less that the French word for 'five'...Rhyming is optional...
